Library Designs

A Library Design is essentially a Template that has been saved for future use.

Benefits of using Library Designs include:

  • The ability to easily create re-usable Templates
  • Non-technical colleagues can edit without having to get involved in coding
  • Sections can be protected so they can't be edited
  • Additional sections can be made available for dragging into the content
  • It's easier to produce consistent designs
  • Testing time is reduced because it's only content that's changing
  • Being able to create a selection of designs to support varied layout requirements
  • Easier to enforce brand guidelines

Library Designs can be created using the drag & drop editor or by adding markup to HTML.

Drag & Drop Editor

The easiest method is to create a Template using the drag & drop editor and once saved, and all errors have been resolved, it can then be added to the Template Library.

Code & Upload

Email templates that have been coded can be marked up for compatibility with the drag & drop editor.

Taking this approach requires attributes to be added to HTML elements within the code and is only recommended for experienced email coders.
