User Tags
User Tags are free-format tags applied to User Records to infer an interest or preference.
- Can be used to support future Targeting and reporting.
- Can be used with the Template Language coding to generate User specific content.
- Can be applied when importing or via link clicks in an email.
- Any number of Tags can be applied to a User.
Permitted Characters
Tags are free format but if they are required for use with the Template Language they should only use alpha-numeric characters and underscores e.g. '0 to 9', 'a to z' and '_'.
Tag Creation
Tags are created dynamically by the features that implement the usage of them.
For example, if a tag is specified on a link to be added when clicked then it will automatically be created if it does not exist.
