Login Permissions Mapping

Customised permissions and Login Roles control access to features and personal data in order to create a more secure environment.

Each of the sections below lists how each group of permissions can impact on what people that have access to the service can and can't do.

Account Management

There's one account management permission in this section which controls access to the following:

  • Access to view & edit account settings
  • Ability to create & edit Logins
  • Access to the Developers Zone

Users & Lists

Users & Lists are in the same feature section and the permissions in this section control access to the following:

  • Creating & editing Users & Lists
  • Exporting data
  • Global Suppression management

Related Features

  • Realtime Block List management
  • Access to Targeting feature
  • Field Maps management
  • User Tags management
  • Field Name Labels management
  • Generic Email Addresses management

Templates

There are two Templates related permissions. One for controlling the creation and editing of content and another for access to features relating to the setup and management of Templates.

  • Creating & editing Templates

Related Features

  • Access to Email Profiles feature
  • Access to Content Snippets feature
  • Access to Personalisation Defaults feature

Campaigns

Campaign reports contain links to download personal data and the permissions in this section control not only the ability to create Campaigns but also whether reports can be viewed and what level of data exporting is granted to a Login.

  • Permission to send Campaigns
  • Reporting level - Read-only or unrestricted access to all available reporting downloads
  • Downloads refinement - restrict downloads to opens, clicks and replies

Related Features

  • Auto-cleansing rules management

Automation

This group of permissions control the level of access to the Automation management screens. Read Only access will not allow creating Workflows or editing Automation details.

If Automation download permissions are set to Response Data Only, the Login can only export clicks, replies and conversions.

  • Creating & editing Workflows
  • Reporting level - Read-only or unrestricted access to all available reporting downloads
  • Downloads refinement - restrict downloads to opens, clicks and replies only
