Once retailers have taken all of their Christmas decorations down they will no doubt get straight into dressing their shops for Valentine’s Day with everything that is pink and red, from balloons to Unicorns – and everything in between!
Even if Valentine’s Day is not your thing it’s still a great sales & marketing opportunity for you to give your subscribers some love in the form of a beautifully designed email campaign.
2019 was a bumper year for Valentine’s Day related sales and in the US it added $20.7 billion to its economy.
Here’s 7 campaigns from different types of businesses to inspire you to design Valentine’s Day emails that will get your customers hearts pounding.
Harry’s – A Valentine, from you to you
Who doesn’t love a Wooly Mammoth!? He’s definitely going to need more than one razor that’s for sure!
Short and sweet proving that even the simplest ideas are loveable too!
Ritual – Be ours? ❤️
This one is a really simple design but at the same time, really hits the spot. The level of personalisation is a great touch and it’s just inviting everyone that reads it to ‘Share the Love’.
Charity: Water loves you
Valentine’s Day campaigns aren’t just for online retailers and B2C businesses. This yearly lovefest event can be just as powerful for NGOs and charities.
Charity: water jump on the chance build their community and their brand with this lovable design.
Frank Body – 💓 Send a love letter on me 💓
Frank wants you to the one you love about his all natural, cruelty free skincare products and seeing as he asked so nicely, how can you even consider refusing?!
EmailMonks – ♥One for You, One for Your Valentine♥
These guys really do know how to code emails and this example is very clever. It showcases their talents perfectly and everyone loves an interactive email these days.
Path – Enjoy a Free Sticker Pack as an Early Valentine from us to You.
It’s cute, there’s free stuff and they’ve even got an app – only the stone-hearted won’t love this one.
Stocksy – Coolest Photos of the Week
Our favourite thing in this design has absolutely nothing to do with Valentine’s Day, although they’ve done a great job with that side of things.
It’s the guy in the scissors glasses that wins it for us and I’m sure he’s going to have a sore back picking up all of his Valentine’s Day cards from his doormat on the 14th!
Ready to spread the love for Valentine’s Day?
The best advice we can give is to embrace the theme and have some fun with it.
Valentine’s Day is a light-heated event so don’t be afraid to add in some humour, but steer clear of cheesy!
Give people a great offer that makes it all worthwhile and above all, be creative and design emails that look amazing so that your customers will fall in love with them.
